Applicants are required to provide true, accurate and complete information in support of their applications. Any misrepresentation in the documents and information provided will result in disqualification of their applications and subsequent enrolments in the University.
Arrange for the supporting documents listed below to reach each programme that you applied for by the application deadline. To speed up the application process, applicants should upload the softcopy to the “Online System for Applicants of Postgraduate Programmes”.
For special requirements, applicants are still required to post the hardcopy of supporting documents to the relevant Graduate programme office. All documents submitted will not be returned. If the application is unsuccessful, all documents will be destroyed. Please always quote the Application No. in your future correspondences.
a. Scans of certificates of academic/professional qualifications (e.g., university certificate of graduation, examination certificates and other qualifications).
b. Scans of official transcripts (with a complete record of courses attended and examination results) and grading scheme of all tertiary level studies;
c. Confidential recommendations (for all applicants) from two referees.
i. Input two referees’ information through the “Online System for Applicants of Postgraduate Programmes”, Invitation for confidential recommendations will be sent to the referees automatically; or
ii. Request one to each of your referees and ask them to return the recommendations to the relevant Graduate Programme before the deadline of your application round.
d. Applicants are required to fulfil the English Language Requirements for Admissions by submitting any one of the following documents:
i. certified true scans* of report of the English Language subject of Hong Kong Advanced Level Examination (AS Level), or Hong Kong Higher Level Examination, or Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination, or CUHK Matriculation Examination; or
ii. Certification of Results of the English Language subject in Hong Kong Advanced Level Examination (AS Level), or Hong Kong Higher Level Examination, or Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination provided by Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority, or CUHK Matriculation Examination; or
iii. Copy of graduation certificate issued by a university in Hong Kong, or A certifying letter issued by the Registry of your university confirming the medium of instruction of your completed degree programme was English; or
iv. scans of original valid official score report of TOEFL (the University’s institution code is B429), or IELTS (Academic), or GMAT (the University’s institution code is N8N). Please be reminded that some test organizations do not accept application for score report after a specified validity period.
v. certified true scan* of certificate of a recognized professional qualification awarded in Hong Kong or in an English speaking country. Different programmes may accept different professional qualifications, please contact respective Graduate Panels for details.
* The certified true scan must be issued by the official organization or relevant test organization. The University may require applicants to provide the original documents for verification.
e. A scancopy of your ID card or other identity document as given in the Application Form.
f. Specific materials required by the relevant Graduate Programme as listed in the Postgraduate Prospectus.
g. Additional information or documentary proof if deemed necessary.
h. Applicants with special needs may opt to declare their disability at the application stage. Applicants are encouraged to discuss their needs (e.g. special examination arrangements) with Graduate Panels concerned.
The application fee for admission to one postgraduate programme is RMB300. The application fee, once paid, is not refundable. You maypay the application fee via wechat pay or alipay on the online application system.
Programme Office will begin the selection process upon receipt of the applications and supporting documents. Some programmes may require applicants to take an entrance test or attend interviews. Applicants will receive the prior notice by Programme Office. For applicants who have applied for MPhil/PhD or taught postgraduate programmes, please check the application results through “Online System for applicants of Postgraduate Programmes” (this function is being developed), or contact with relevant staffs.
The information collected from the application form will be used for the following purposes:
a. as a basis for selection of applicants for admission to postgraduate programmes offered by the University and other related purposes;
b. for verifying information about the applicant’s public examination results and academic record in relevant institutions;
c. for identifying records of previous studies as a student in the University or other institutions;
d. as part of the applicant’s student record upon registration for a programme, which will be used for all purposes relating to his/her studies in accordance with the procedures of the University;
e. for identifying multiple enrolments at this University or at any other tertiary institution upon registration for a programme.
f. if necessary, maybe be transferred to other units within the University to facilitate admission verifications communication, operations and planning; and
g. for statistical and research purposes and in such circumstances, personal identifiers will be removed.

2. 申请材料提交
申请人须提交真实,准确,完整的申请材料。提供任何虚假材料的申请将视作无效申请并取消入学资格。对于所有的申请人请仔细阅读以下注意事项。
根据以下列出的申请材料,于课程截止日期前完成申请。为了加快申请过程,请将完整的申请材料的电子版上传到“研究生课程在线申请系统”。
如有个别课程需要,申请人仍然需要依据通知向相关课程办公室寄送指定申请材料的纸质版本。所有提交的申请材料将不予退还。如果申请不成功,所有的文件将被销毁。请记录好自己的申请编号。
所需申请资料包括:
a. 学术/专业资格证书(如大学毕业证书,考试合格证书以及其他资格证书)的扫描件。
b. 正式成绩单(含所学课程和考试成绩的完整记录)以及所有大学阶段学习的评定标准的扫描件。大学有权在必要时要求申请人提交原成绩单。
c. 申请人需提交来自两位推荐人的机密推荐信:
i. 通过“研究生课程在线申请系统”填写两位推荐人的信息,系统将自动发送请求撰写推荐信邮件至推荐人;或
ii. 请推荐人写推荐信,并在课程申请截止日期前(该批次)邮寄到相关课程办公室。
d. 任一份下列证明你的英语语言能力已达到相关课程申请要求的证书:
i. 香港高级程度会考(AS级别),或香港高级程度会考,或香港中等教育文凭考试,或香港中文大学入学试的英国语文科的报告的核证副本扫描件*;
ii. 由在香港或英语国家的大学颁发的毕业证扫描件;
iii. 托福考试(大学的机构代码为B429),或IELTS(学术),或GMAT(大学的机构代码为N8N)有效官方成绩单原件的扫描件。请注意,一些测试机构在特定有效期过后将不再接受成绩单申请。
iv. 在香港或英语国家获得的认可的专业资格证书的核证副本扫描件*。不同的课程可能会接受不同的专业资格证书,请与各自的课程办公室联系。
v. 核证副本必须由官方机构或相关测试机构颁发。大学可以要求申请人提供核查原始成绩单。
e. 申请过程中提到的身份证或其他证明身份的证件扫描件。请注意,中国大陆的申请人请使用身份证进行申请。否则将不能在教育部进行学籍注册。
f. 相关的课程办公室于研究生招生信息中列出的特别申请材料。
g. 大学可要求申请人于必要时提交补充资料或证明文件。
h. 有特殊需要的申请人可以选择在申请阶段申报残疾。申请人可以根据需要与相关课程办公室进行商量(例如特别考试安排)。
3. 申请费用
每一项研究生课程的申请费用为人民币300。申请费用一旦支付,不予退还。在线申请系统会提供微信、支付宝等在线支付途径。
4. 筛选流程
课程办公室将在收到申请和证明材料后开始筛选流程。个别课程可能要求申请者参加入学考试或面试。申请人将会提前收到来自相关课程办公室的通知。关于入学考试或面试的详细信息,请咨询课程办公室。http://gs.cuhk.edu.cn/zh-hans/content/1259
5. 申请结果查询
申请入读硕士/博士研究生课程的申请人,可以登陆“研究生课程在线申请系统”查询自己的申请结果。(此功能暂未开通,正在开发中)
6. 申请材料处理
从申请系统中获取的信息将被用于以下用途:
a. 作为申请入读大学提供的研究生课程的筛选基础和其他相关用途;
b. 核实有关申请人的公开考试成绩和相关机构的学术成绩信息;
c. 证明申请人在大学或其他机构的学习成绩;
d. 作为在课程注册时申请人的学生档案的一部分,该档案将被用于大学管理中与他/她相关的所有目的;
e. 在注册一个课程时,核实申请人有无注册大学或其他高等教育机构的课程;
f. 如果有必要,可能被转移到大学内其他部门,作为大学内部交流、运营、规划等用途;和
g. 用于数据统计和研究目的,在此情况下,个人隐私信息将被删除。
